Our 10 Favorite ‘Parks And Rec’ Episodes

For the past six years the TV show Parks and Recreation has been a part of our lives.

We’ve tuned in every week to see what our favorite characters were up to. We were there when Leslie set out to create her first park out of the pit. We were there when Leslie and Ann became best friends.

We were there when April and Andy got together. And we were there when Ben and Leslie finally tied the knot. We were there for the ups and downs of these characters and the show as a whole. We’ll be sad to see it go.

In honor of the series finale airing on February 24, we rounded up our top 10 favorite episodes of this beloved TV series.

Flu Season, Season 3, Episode 2
There’s a flu outbreak in Pawnee that leaves everyone, including Leslie, under the weather. With a big presentation coming up Leslie refuses to believe she is sick and tries to power through the flu.

Moving Up, Season 6, Episode 21, 22
Last season’s finale did a great job of setting up what the show’s last season would really be like, and where it would take place—in the future.

Hunting Trip, Season 2, Episode 10
Ron throws his annual hunting trip. Leslie decides it should be a group outing instead of just the guys. But trouble arises when Ron gets shot (as well as Donna’s Mercedes) and no one immediately fesses up to the crime.

Soda Tax, Season 5, Episode 2
Leslie takes it upon herself to try to solve childhood obesity in Pawnee by creating a tax on soda. We get to see Leslie and Ann really come together for a new issue (outside of the pit).

The Fight, Season 3, Episode 13
Leslie and Ann have their first fight while at the Snakehole Lounge, drunk on Snake Juice. April and Andy let their goofiness unfold as they make the Snakehole Lounge bearable by role-playing different people at the bar.

Lil’ Sebastian, Season 3, Episode 16
Pawnee is saddened by the news that their beloved miniature horse, Lil’ Sebastian, has passed away. The Parks Department decides to throw a memorial to honor his legacy.

Pawnee Rangers, Season 4, Episode 4
This episode is known for coining the phrase “treat yo self.” Ben is feeling down since his breakup with Leslie so Donna and Tom invite him on their annual day of treating themselves to spas and shopping.

Galentine’s Day, Season 2, Episode 16
Each year, on the day before Valentine’s Day, Leslie throws a party called Galentine’s Day for all her girlfriends. At the party Leslie asks her mom to tell the story of a romantic fling she once had that was cut short. So, in classic Leslie fashion, she tries to reunite the two for Valentine’s Day.

Leslie vs. April, Season 5, Episode 7
Leslie is finally able to meet the man of her dreams, Joe Biden, after Ben calls in a few favors for an engagement gift. Seeing her in a fit of giggles, starstruck by the vice president is one of the best things to have had happen on the show.

Pawnee Zoo, Season 2, Episode 1
Leslie unknowingly marries two male penguins, which causes outrage from the Society for Family Stability Foundation. At the same time, the Pawnee gay community crowns her their new hero.
