The leading sexual abuse organization, RAINN (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network) is striving to create educated and informed individuals regarding the horrors and prevalence of sexual abuse. Not only does RAINN raise awareness, but they offer services and aid for victims of sexual assault. From resources to online hotlines, the people behind RAINN are devoted to caring for the victims of sexual abuse while striving to create a safer environment for us all.
Women Thrive
Women Thrive is about helping women escape and heal from domestic violence. From educating people on the reality of domestic abuse to helping women find safe shelters, Women Thrive hopes to solve the problem with women and the worldwide violence they face. There’s tons of ways to show your support for this important cause, including sharing information about domestic and worldwide violence to your friends and family.
Women for Women
Women for Women is an incredible organization that allows for you (yes, you!) to sponsor one woman in a developing country. This money goes towards helping your sponsored woman develop professional skills, business skills and leadership skills to break chains of poverty and oppression. You can select a one-time-only donation or select a monthly sponsorship option that allows for you to continuously support.
The A21 Campaign
Tackling the heartbreaking issue of human trafficking, The A21 Campaign strives to educate, inspire and motivate men and women to work together to end human trafficking. The A21 Campaign strives to end human trafficking with their solutions that range from education and awareness to rescuing men and women from human trafficking. There’s tons of ways to get involved and support this important cause that strives to rescue those being sold as labor and sex slaves, particularly in developing countries. The A21 Campaign is about standing up for those that cannot stand up for themselves.
Girl Up
United Nation’s premiere organization that is about connecting young women and men to raise awareness and funds for underprivileged girls across the globe. Focusing on young girls in developing countries, Girl Up is all about giving girls’ access to education and most importantly, giving girls the opportunity to make their own life choices. Too often, girls in developing countries are married off at incredibly young ages, with no skills or education, and are trapped in abusive marriages. Girl Up is about raising the funds and awareness to end this vicious cycle.
Whatever you’re passionate about, get involved. Utilize the blessings and skills you have to improve the world and those in it.
