P&B Shares: Back to School Rituals & Traditions

It’s Back to Campus week!

This month we asked the Pink & Black staff what their back to school rituals and traditions were or are each year. See what some of them had to say below!

My mom and I always drove to the Ikea in Pittsburgh right before school started to get new decor for my dorm.

It’s like a two hour drive from Cleveland so it was a little mini road trip for my mom and I before I went off to school.
- Daisha Easler

I always made goals for myself before each new school year, even in high school. I would either blog about them or write them down somewhere so I could go back and see if I accomplished whatever my goals were. Luckily, I usually met them.
- Anna Taylor

For me, back to school was always a little bittersweet. To amp myself up for the new school year I would always go on a mini shopping spree. New clothes, a fun backpack, and fresh school supplies always made me feel a bit more prepared and ready to take on the year.

A month or two before school began, my parents and I would go on a vacation usually out-of-state. We would either go to a National Park or a historical site, they always tried to make the trips both fun and educational. And they would also let me pick out a new backpack.

Now it’s your turn to share! What are your back to school rituals or traditions?
