I never thought spring would get here and in some ways, it has yet to officially arrive. Springtime is always colorful, warm and happy for me but so far I’m still waiting to fade out of winter and step into the new season. In other words, I’ve got a serious case of spring fever.
I didn’t really expect to relate to this theme so much.So far 2014 hasn’t been anything like I’d hoped it would be. Not to be too much of a Debbie Downer, but I haven’t exactly had a lot of things work out in my favor over the past few months – which is why I’m ready to let go of winter for good. To be specific, I had a job lined up before I graduated in December, but I didn’t end up going through with the job offer for various reasons. Since then, I haven’t had the best back-up plan and I’m living at home with mom and dad until the time is right. I’ve had some other things come up, as well as interviews, but there has always been a reason something didn’t work out. I’ve had some days where I’ve felt super discouraged and unappreciated at home. On top of all of that, I haven’t been able to do near as much work with P&B as I had planned and the site has suffered for things I have no control over. I’m ready for that all to change.
This month, I’ve got a couple of important events coming up. One is actually a business competition for Pink & Black. The other is a job interview. I’m hoping for great outcomes for both, but I’m a firm believer of “things happen for a reason” and “if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.
” So, I’ll be grateful for the experiences no matter what.Until then, I’ll be waiting for the good weather to get here. If things are moving a little slow on the site, I apologize. If you’re patient, I promise it’ll be worth the wait.
