5 Wellness Instagram Accounts to Follow Now

Juggling work, school and all of your other responsibilities can be hard enough on its own without thinking about heading to the gym or cooking a well-balanced meal.

Trust us, we fully understand. That’s why we decided to share our five favorite Instagram accounts that post workouts that can be done at home and quick meals that are designed for busy women like ourselves.

@alexajeanfitness

This 24-year-old new mommy works very hard to keep her family healthy. Alexa’s Instagram account is full of videos of quick workouts that can be done right in your living room. These clips have a very adorable co-star, her daughter, so no excuses for our young mommies out there. She is the author of Clean Eating, an ebook that contains a shopping list, workout routines and a lot more. Her website gives you the option to view a few workout routines and recipes for meals without purchasing her ebook. She posts pics of her cheat meals as well to prove that we all need a treat. Alexa also gets a little creative with her “towel routines” that are perfect for hardwood floors.

@collegecookin

This account was started in November 2013 by Danielle Hausberg from the University of Ontario. Danielle documents very doable meals for people like her living the college life. With posts about snacks, smoothies and meals, this girl has got you covered. Plus, the ingredients that make up these delicious looking pics can easily be stored in a dorm room or apartment.

@MankoFit

Massiel Arias, a personal trainer, model and nutrition expert, works hard at the gym and has muscles that would intimidate a man, but she knows what to eat and how to train. She showcases floor exercises that can easily be done at home and includes the recipes for her meals on each of her posts.

@HealthyFitnessMeals

From homemade, healthier Oreos to buttermilk oatmeal pancakes, this Shredz ambassador provides healthier versions of our favorite meals. Each photo caption includes a full list of ingredients and directions, so replicating these dishes will be a piece of cake! Who says you have to give up Mexican, Italian and dessert to be healthy?

@Shonda1020

Shonda’s IG has an even mixture of workouts and healthy recipes including delicious smoothies for breakfast on-the-go. Each of her short videos focuses on a different part of the body, so you have multiple options for toning the areas that need work. Looking for a creative yet challenging cardio routine? Check out Shonda’s Cardio Blast video that will make a traditional walk on the treadmill look like a snooze.

These five accounts can help improve your eating and exercise habits. The best part is, these ladies don’t post annoying plugs about promotional products. The advice is free with just a click of the follow button and you’ll be sure to stay motivated each time you refresh your feed.
