We admire strong, awesome women. And that describes Olivia Wilde to a T.

Need more reasons to love her? Check out these 10 facts about the Better Living Through Chemistry actress.

1. She’s down to earth. OK, we don’t know this for a solid fact, but come on, you know she’s just as cool, confident and easy going as she seems to be.

2. She’s hilarious. Not only is her male counterpart, Jason Sudeikis, a funny man, but Olivia has got some chops herself. To see for yourself, check out her Twitter page, @oliviawilde.

3. She looks flawless no matter what she wears. From baby bump to au naturel, Olivia has a style all her own. She is a total tomboy but yet looks fabulous in a ball gown. She knows her body and her style and isn’t afraid to be herself whether it’s on the red carpet or just hanging around town.

4. She’s a political activist. She is a board member for Artists for Peace and Justice and the ACLU of Southern California. She supported the 18 in ’08 youth voting campaign and campaigned for President Barack Obama. That’s just the start of it. She has also worked with the healthcare industry, Global Poverty Project, the Fair Foods campaign and Gucci’s “Chimes for Changes.”  It’s amazing to see a celebrity putting her fame to good use.

5. She has dual citizenship. Not many people can claim dual citizenship, but it’s pretty amazing when they can. Olivia was born in the U.S. and received her Ireland citizenship due to her father being Irish.

6. She ditched her surname. The actress we know and love as Olivia Wilde was actually born Olivia Cockburn. She changed her name to honor Oscar Wilde. It is said she did this to honor her family of writers, a lot of whom used pen names.

7. She’s engaged to Jason Sudeikis. This power couple has all the wits and the looks. Not only is she lucky to be engaged to such a funny, wonderful man, but he is lucky to be engaged to a beautiful, powerful woman. They are perfect for one another and their baby is adorable.

8. She’s not afraid to play different roles. Olivia has been known as TV’s go to bisexual. We first fell in love with her on The O.C. as Marissa Cooper’s girlfriend. She also played a bisexual on House. She has said she is honored to play such roles. “I continue to get letters from girls around the world,” Olivia told People magazine. “I was very proud to represent bisexual characters on both those shows. The funny thing is, I played 18 straight girls, but two bisexual women … that’s what people remember me for. That’s fine with me, I was proud to play them. I’ve had young women come up to me sand say it helped them accept themselves or feel more confident about coming out and that is an honor.”

9. She comes from a long line of journalists. Not only are her parents journalists, but her uncles also worked in the field. Her mother is a producer on 60 Minutes and her father has written numerous articles and documentaries. Olivia has also written guest columns, one of her latest being for Glamour about what the future will be like 75 years from now.

10. She’s only 30. She is so young and has so much going for her. It’s amazing how much she has accomplished in just three decades. She makes 30 look awesome.
