Our 5 Favorite Netflix Originals

Binge watching has become one of our favorite activities thanks to Netflix.

Since its founding in 1997, Netflix continually finds ways for its members to access films and shows. Instead of having to wait for a new episode on television every week, we can re-watch old shows or discover new ones at any time.

Recently, Netflix has premiered a lot of original series and we couldn’t choose just one. Here’s a list of our 5 favorite Netflix originals that you should start binge watching today.

Daredevil

Quite possibly one of the most underrated Marvel superheroes, we can’t get enough of this action-packed show that focuses on the life of Matt Murdock, the blind protagonist who uses his heightened senses to fight crime around his neighborhood in New York City.

Hemlock Grove

All of us here at P&B love a good scare. Produced by horror guru Eli Roth, this series takes place in the fictional town of Hemlock Grove, Pennsylvania. The show is about two men who befriend each other and try to solve cases in their town. With the peculiar happenings and mysterious murders, it has enough going on to keep us on the edge of our seats.

House of Cards

With its manipulation and fight for power, it’s hard for us not to get hooked on this political drama. It revolves around Frank Underwood, who tries to make it to the top after being passed over as Secretary of State. We also can’t stop watching Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright who nail their performances every time they appear on the screen.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

We were excited when Ellie Kemper finally got a starring role, and it was impossible for us not to fall in love with her charm and quirkiness.

Plus, we’re just drawn to the outlandish premise and overall zaniness of the show. Oh, and we still can’t get the catchy theme song out of our heads.

Orange is the New Black

Known as the ‘good girl gone prison girl’ show, Litchfield Penitentiary is the prison that captured the nation’s attention. Based Piper Kerman’s memoir and life, Orange is the New Black has become one of the most streamed Netflix series as well as the most loved by this generation.
