We’re very excited to be sharing our second annual edition of Pink & Black’s Favorite Things!
With inspiration from Oprah’s Favorite Things, we’re sharing a few things we can’t live without.
1. Birchbox Subscription $10/mo | BUY IT
After years of debating if I should splurge on this beauty box, I finally gave in and am glad I did.
For only $10 a month you get to test drive a bunch of different high end beauty products each month. If you discover you love it – like I did – you can sign up for a years subscription, instead of a monthly, and save yourself $10. – Savannah Sawyer
2. Simple Brand Skincare Line $6-13 | BUY IT
It has taken me many years to find a skincare line that is affordable and does the job, but I have recently found it. My skin is easily irritated and extremely sensitive, but this brand of skincare products is perfect for my skin. I use the face wipes, toner, face wash and lotion. It leaves my skin bright, clean, fresh and irritation free. – Rebecca Walter
3. Crosley Turntable $70 | BUY IT
I’ve been wanting a record player for a few years now and was recently able to purchase one without going breaking the bank. Crosley record players are a good first record player. They are easy to put in any room, portable and stylish. If you’re like me and like your music pretty loud, you might need an additional speaker, but they are easy to hook up to the record player. – Rebecca Walter
4. eos lip balms $3.49 | BUY IT
Not only are these things cute and strange, but they last FOREVER. As someone who is constantly moisturizing my lips, these pods have probably saved me from buying a tube or two of normal lip balm.
Plus, they’re very moisturizing and make your lips super soft. I like the sweet mint flavor. – Anna Taylor
5. PUR 7-Cup Water Filtration Pitcher $11.99 | BUY IT
This thing encourages me to drink more water. It holds just enough, is so easy to refill and the water tastes great! I always have really cold and clean water ready for me when I’m thirsty. – Anna Taylor
6. Brow Art 23 Eye Brow Cake $17 | BUY IT
I am new to filling in my eye brows and started off with the elf eye brow kit and then a friend told me about Brow Art 23! It’s the best! It’s so easy to put on and makes it effortless to have awesome, full brows. Everyone needs this, it’s a must have! – Daisha Easler
7. Essie Nail Polish $8.50 | BUY IT
I always thought spending nearly $10 on a bottle of nail polish seemed ridiculous. I knew essie made a great product but I just couldn’t get past the price tag on a college budget. This being my first year out in the real world, I’ve been able to splurge and test drive a few high-end makeup and beauty products and now I couldn’t be happier than when I stand in front of the isle of Essie nail polish at Target. So many great shades to choose from! – Savannah Sawyer
8. Naturally Soothing Oatmeal and Shea Butter Body Lotion $5.99 | BUY IT
This is the first St. Ives product I’ve ever tried and I absolutely love it. It’s thick like a body butter, but it’s super silky once you start to apply it. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. My skin has never felt so soft and hydrated. It’s also dermatologist-tested, so it’s perfect for people who have sensitive skin like me. – Mary-Jo Enriquez
9. String Lights From Target $19.99 | BUY IT
I use them because I love feeling like I’m on an outdoor patio 24/7, so I use these in my bedroom as opposed to harsh ceiling lights. – Will Rhino
10. Bath & Body Works Scentportables $3.50 | BUY IT
I just bought one of these for my car and I love how clean and fresh it makes it smell. Everytime someone is riding with me they comment on how nice it smells. Currently the scent I’m using is apple but there are plenty of other scent options to choose from later. – Anna Taylor
