Our Favorite DIY Blogs

Ladies, do not wait around for someone to do your handy work. Brainstorm ideas, browse Pinterest, get your tools out and do it yourself!

Don’t know how? Don’t worry. Follow these DIY blogs and get started.

Pretty Handy Girl

This blog shows us that we can do the hard stuff on our own. Brittany, the owner of Pretty Handy Girl, really focuses on empowerment.

She wrote, “My mantra is that if someone can do it, then there is a 95% chance that I can do it too! As a woman, I refuse to bow to the stereotypes that women aren’t handy.” We love this idea. She also lets us into her home with pictures and even a home tour. We get to see the fruits of her labor which makes all of the hard work worth it.

A Beautiful Mess

Elise and Emma are sisters who share amazing craft and home décor ideas and even fashion, hair and makeup help. They cover it all. There’s a shop to purchase organization items, phone cases, planners and much more. They even have two monthly subscription boxes, much like ipsy, with unique items in them. Now our favorite part, if you thought it couldn’t get any better, they offer classes about DSLR, Photoshop, sewing and more for a small price.

Young House Love

This adorable site is the passion project of married couple Sherry and John. You can find over 3,000 home projects, cheap wedding ideas, blogging advice and home tours. If you’re looking for projects to do with the man in your life to either improve your home or for a little one-on-one bonding time, this can be your inspiration.

How Does She?

With quite a few contributors to this blog, there’s a lot of great content that can certainly be useful and inspire creativity with holiday ideas, recipes, crafts, home and gardening. We also love that there is a section devoted to organization. This organization section isn’t just about keeping an orderly home, it talks about coupons and budgeting as well as time management. This is certainly information we all can use.

Centsational Girl

Kate Riley is a renovator who has experience with over 1,000 DIY projects. She also prides herself on being a bargain hunter, which we adore. Who doesn’t love to spend less money? In this blog she shares outdoor and holiday specific projects, home improvement tips, crafts and fabric work. She seems to have a real passion for this as she used to be a lawyer and gave that career up to be a home blogger and master designer!
