Sure it has rolling hills for hiking and skiing and famous towns like Sleepy Hollow, but they aren’t the first thing that comes to mind whenever anyone mentions New York. So, use our guide to navigate your way through the city that never sleeps!

WHERE TO EAT

This iconic New York staple can get really crowded during the holiday season, so be prepared.

WHAT TO SEE

Take in a Broadway (or Off-Broadway) show with popular musicals like The Lion King and Cinderella or even 50 Shades! The Musical. With over 100 shows, plays and musicals to choose from, there is something for everyone. If you’re here during the holiday season, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular with the famous Rockettes is always delightfully entertaining.

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is a favorite for tourists and natives alike. You can pose and take photos with some of your favorite celebrities, musicians and historical figures. With over 200 life-like wax figures from Marilyn Monroe to Beyoncé to Hilary Clinton, it’s as close to the real thing as most will get.

WHAT TO DO

Fifth Avenue is home to world famous staples like the New York Public Library, Museum of National History and Rockefeller Center, where you can skate alongside the huge Christmas tree, Central Park, Saks Fifth Avenue and hundreds of dining spots. With city block after city block of endless things to do, you’ll need days to just scratch the surface of what Fifth Avenue has to offer.
