How To Juggle Your Responsibilities Without Having A Meltdown

Wearing multiple hats can be stressful, but you don’t have to completely lose your mind.

We have a few tips to help you get all your work done and stay sane.

Stop and breathe. You have to take a moment to speak with yourself and think positively. Without positivity, how can you even begin to tackle your long list of tasks?

You need to be nice to yourself, you are the star player of your game. If you don’t take care of number one, which is you, it will be difficult to carry on. Treat yourself with the utmost care first and foremost and you will find that everything else will be much easier.

Get organized. If you have a lot on your plate, continuing to handle these responsibilities the way you have been in the past will not work. Try it a different way this time. Make a list or a schedule for yourself. If you have a lot of chores to do in the house, spread each extensive duty out throughout the week. Mop one day, scrub the bathroom the next day. As long as you’re picking up throughout the week, your apartment or house will stay clean.

If you’re following an organized list and you still don’t have enough time in the day, move the least important tasks for another day. Don’t fret that you’re not going to get some things done, it’s okay! And don’t forget to pencil in some downtime. If you don’t schedule that, you may end up never getting to relax.

Speaking of relaxing, it is a must! Schedule a vacation day at work or clear your schedule on a Saturday and have some “me time.” This means clearing your social calendar.

Just because it’s not work doesn’t mean you should commit to it. Sit at home, binge watch something on Netflix and just catch up on rest. You don’t have to to relax exactly that way. There are many ways to relax. Blast your favorite music, watch your favorite movie or go to your favorite store. Take this time to think, smile and be yourself.

Say no to things. According to Tiny Buddah, you should live your life for you. If you don’t want to commit to an event or a favor, it’s acceptable to say no. Your time is precious and life is short. Cancel on a night out with your girls if you’re just not feeling it. Your bestie is moving and needs help yet you don’t have even a moment to lend a hand, say no. Don’t feel bad about this. You’re busy and stressed, so politely decline. Take this time to handle your responsibilities or like we stated above, relax!

Life is not a breeze whatsoever. We have a lot of responsibilities and we have to learn to organize, relax and know when to say “no.” Only you know how much you can handle. If you can’t take care of you, you cannot take care of your responsibilities.
