What Entertainment Has To Offer In 2015

In 2013, Pink & Black published a post featuring the world of entertainment in 2014.

While we weren’t completely right about everything, a few things were gold. So, once more, P&B will take a look at what’s going to be hot in 2015.

Film

There are multiple major films that look (or at least have the potential to be) amazing.

Let’s start off with an aca-sequel. (I barely tried, sue me). Pitch Perfect 2 is going to be released on May 15. Featuring an almost identical cast, it is shaping up to be just as good as the original. Speaking of sequels, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is also being released in May. Following the success of films like Maleficent and The Fault in Our Stars, a live action version of Cinderella will be released in March. John Green, the author of The Fault in Our Stars, is getting another movie: Paper Towns.

Music

There are many artists releasing albums in 2015. Adele is one of them. It’s been a few years since 21, so it’s definitely time to get some new hits. A much lesser known artist releasing music that is different, but almost as good as Adele, is Sky Ferreira. She’s the artist your friends haven’t heard of but should listen to if they like beautiful ballads. Of course, musicians like Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Kelly Clarkson are also rumored to be making new music. Only time will tell if they do.

TV

There are a few new decent looking shows that will join all the returning favorites. Perhaps one of the most interesting is ABC’s Galavant. Riding off of Game of Thrones‘ medieval style, this show is a musical set in the same time period.

Want to watch a show that is completely terrible but also completely awesome? Check out E!’s The Royals. It’s the “first” scripted E! network program and it’s about a British royal family. Like all E! shows, you will find yourself watching every episode and have no recollection why.

So while it may be pretty much impossible to predict pop culture, we can at least determine what in entertainment will be decent. Cheers to 2015!
