It’s the beginning of the week and still five days until the weekend.
Mondays can be rough when it’s hard to see the light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. Here are some songs that will hopefully make the day (and the week for that matter) fly by.
“Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore (feat.
Ryan Dalton)
If their rags to riches story doesn’t inspire you, this song probably will. It talks about how they tried so hard and never gave up on their dream. Work hard, play hard.
“Run the World (Girls)” by Beyonce
Our girl Bey has been all about girl power lately. What more motivation do you need? The world is changing as are the roles in the workplace. Don’t be afraid to take a stance or stand up for something you believe in at work or school.
“Fearless” by Taylor Swift
This song is great because it can be interpreted in so many ways. It can be about love and not being afraid to fall hard and fall fast. But it’s also about not being afraid to take chances and stand up for what you believe is right.
“Long Road to Ruin” by The Foo Fighters
“Long Road to Ruin” is a powerhouse song that is great for getting you through a tough workout or a slow lag in your day. The song is about someone who is living a shell of a life, too afraid to do something in fear they might regret it. It tells you to shed that skin and be comfortable with the choices you’ve made. And don’t be afraid to have some fun when while you’re at it.
“You Sounds Good to Me” by Lucy Hale
We love listening to her first single from Road Between on repeat. It’s about being carefree and having fun.
“Fever” by the Black Keys
This song is catchy and upbeat–it’s sure to keep your mood up. But it’s also mellow enough, so you can listen and concentrate on your work at the same time.
”Electric Feel” by MGMT
Whatever sour mood you may be in, this song will completely flip it around. From the first riff it almost instantaneously puts the listener in a different state of mind. It’s the perfect song to blast as you leave a long day of hard work behind.
