August Girl Crush: Imogen Poots

We are very excited to see the comedy She’s Funny That Way that hits theaters on August 14 for four reasons: Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston, Will Forte and this month’s girl crush, Imogen Poots. If you don’t know her, get familiar! She’s just as beautifully unique as her name.

Imogen’s first major role was in 2007’s 28 Weeks Later. If that doesn’t ring a bell for you, Need For Speed or That Awkward Moment may jog your memory. Besides working alongside the very talented and amazing Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan and Aaron Paul, Ms. Poots can be seen in Chloe perfume and H&M campaigns. Whether she’s acting or modeling, the camera adores her.

According to PopSugar, this British star enjoys working in the states. “I love America a lot. I really do love the literature or movies.” So, not only does she love being here, but she also appreciates our culture. She’s definitely welcome here anytime if you ask us because we enjoy seeing her on the big screen.

We are also hearing talk that she is going to play the love interest of Andy Samberg in an upcoming Lonely Island film. Imogen certainly knows how to stand out next to the most well known actors in Hollywood and steal the show. We cannot wait to hear more about this project.

We love a strong woman and she certainly does not hold back. “If a role has been too one-dimensional I have turned it down. I still try to be a feminist in some tiny way. There is more for women in terms of character roles now. Judi Dench and Maggie Smith have constantly changed over the years and challenged themselves with different roles. That’s impressive,” she stated in an interview. Her unique drive is admirable. She’s willing to work for great roles as opposed to sacrificing her dignity for fame and that’s a trait that makes her a great role model for women of all ages.
