It’s officially wedding season and one of the most fun and interesting parts of all the festivities is the bachelorette party.
So whether you’re planning a shindig for a bride-to-be or putting together your own, we’re here to provide a little inspiration to get your creative juices flowing.
Jet Set
Get together with the girls and discuss location. Viva Las Vegas? Dream of Californication? New York, New York? What happens in Cabo, stays in Cabo? The sky is pretty much the limit if you’re all able to travel. You’ll be in a new place where you won’t see anyone you know, so that crazy scavenger hunt you may have planned for the bride will be perfect because you will never see these people again. You won’t have to party at the same clubs and bars you see every weekend, which is a plus. And, hey, it’s the perfect excuse for everyone to take a vacation! It will basically be a mature version of spring break.
Stay Local
If you’re staying local, there are still so many options. Since it’s nice and warm out now, you can start your festivities on the beach or at the pool. Reserve a couple of rooms at a local hotel with a lavish pool and act like you’re on vacation. After a fun day by the water, go to the spa for massages, mani/pedis and get your hair done for the evening. Be a tourist in your own town.
If you live by an ocean or lake, hit the beach and have some fun in the sun. Pack an amazing picnic and veg out with an iBoom and magazines and relax with the girls before the long, fun night ahead.
Warm weather also gives you the opportunity to have a girl’s camping trip. Enjoy the great outdoors with your girls, s’mores, drinks and a fire. You can rough it with tents and sleeping bags or even rent out a cabin or trailer if everyone isn’t on board with sleeping outside. Most cabins have hot tubs and a deck to lay out on so it can be more of a glamorized camping trip.
Get Active!
Book a fun group exercise class like aerial yoga, pole dancing or Zumba. It’s a healthy way to have fun and celebrate the bride. Or take a bike or Segway tour around the city—it’s enjoyable and will give you a chance to explore the area on a beautiful summer day.
Girls’ Night Out
If a traditional night out on the town is more your taste, give your bride the celebrity treatment and find a club that has a rooftop or a VIP section. This will separate you all from the rest of the crowd so that you can still socialize with one another while you party. You can even do a bachelorette bar crawl. Take an Uber to your favorite part of town and hop from bar to bar while having drinks and a fun scavenger hunt.
Party Favors
Think outside the box. Go super girly with sparkly wine glasses, personalized, hilarious temporary tattoos or personalized shot glasses. Think about the bride and what her interests are and try to incorporate that into the favors.
Themes
Themes makes parties so much more fun and it coordinates everyone’s style and overall look so everyone knows what crew you belong with that night! Collaborate with the girls to see which one you all love and start planning.
A nautical theme would be perfect for the beach or a house party. This idea is cute and affordable. Grab a few sailor hats, anchors galore and you’ll look like you’re ready to sail away.
Who doesn’t love Barbie? The bride can emulate the most loved girl’s toy ever and you can be her posse. From the party favors to the cake, the pictures you’ll be taking all night will be Snapchat hits and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Take it way back into time with a roaring 20’s theme. Boas, headpieces, sparkly dresses and extra long fake cigarettes will have you feeling like you’re off to meet Gatsby. It’s fun, classy and you’ll all look gorgeous!
The Food & Beverage
A girl’s gotta eat! Ditch the stripper and make hunky cookies. The bride will love them and it won’t be as uncomfortable. Powdered donut diamond rings are super cheap, look adorable and are delicious of course. You’ll also want to include snack food that can soak up alcohol like chips and salsa, pretzels and cute little cupcakes.
What’s a bachelorette party without a few spirits? Again, you don’t have to go crazy with the alcohol. Set up a sangria drink station with fruit mix-ins. Grab mini wine or champagne bottles and write each girl’s name on them. These are adorable and the girls will love the personalization. Jello shots and a mimosa bar are always fun or dress up a Moscow mule with blueberries and brown sugar.
