Three Cycling Classes to Try

The trend of cycling is one of the many difficult ways to put in cardio and get fit. Although it is hard, there are so many benefits to cycling and there are a few different ways to cycle that are actually fun and exciting.

Soul-Cycle is a 45-minute class led by an instructor to whip people into shape while jamming to rock music.

Now this sounds intense yet appetizing. Big name celebrities such as Katie Holmes, Kyra Sedgwick and Lady Gaga take this class to stay in shape. While it can be quite the workout, it does start off slow so that students can work their way into it without getting intimidated. Soul-Cycle also includes strength exercises making it possibly the only work out one would need.

Under water cycling? Now, this just sounds absurd doesn’t it? Actually, Aqua Cycling will allow you to burn 800 calories in just a 45-minute class. Using the resistance of the water to tighten and tone your body while also using it to cool you down may be the most genius idea. It also lessens the chance of injury. This is definitely something to look into if you’re looking for something a little more… unique.

FlyWheel includes choreographed cycling classes to music played by an in house DJ. This definitely sounds like something that will help pass the time. You also have control over how hard you can go without feeling pressured to push yourself too far. This class is all about comfort and gives the instructors a chance to showcase their individual styles of choreography and music choices.

When thinking about taking a cycling class, it seems boring and dreadful but with these three different options it definitely seems like it’s worth a try.

There are reasons to learn to love cycling and keep at it. Give the treadmill a break and hop on a bike!
