How To Add Pumpkins To Every Meal

You know it’s fall when there’s pumpkin-flavored EVERYTHING anywhere you go. Coffee, candy, candles… Everything is better with a little dose of pumpkin and spice! If a daily PSL isn’t enough to satisfy your pumpkin cravings, we’ve rounded up a whole day’s worth of pumpkin recipes to keep you full of the tasty autumnal fruit.

Breakfast

Start your day right with these Pumpkin Waffles from No. 2 Pencil. They’re delicious topped with maple syrup or a dollop of whipped cream if you’re feeling extra indulgent. Serve with fresh fruit.

Wash those waffles down with a fresh cup of pumpkin coffee. You can give your morning joe a light pumpkin spin with a homemade flavored creamer. One Cheap Utah Chick made her own recipe that’s not only much cheaper than buying a cup from Starbucks every day, but also tastes better and is better for you too.

Lunch

Julia’s Album’s Pumpkin Chili recipe is insanely good. Who knew that pumpkin could be a feature element in chili? The best part about this dish is it’s very savory, so if overly sweet pumpkin treats aren’t your thing, you can still enjoy it! It’s also vegetarian and full of beans, which will keep you full until dinner.

For a crispy accompaniment to your chili, try these Pumpkin Fritters from What About Second Breakfast? They’re full of flavorful, cheesy pumpkin goodness. The fritters have a delicate taste and a moist interior, while still letting the outsides become crunchy and golden as they’re fried.

Snack

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds are a classic snack standby. They’re easy and delicious, and also full of good-for-you fats and vitamins. This recipe from Simply Recipes is very easy, and you can customize these plain seeds by adding your own spice blends for a recipe that’s just for you! Try cinnamon sugar for a sweet and salty snack, or add a little cayenne for some heat.

Dinner

For your main meal of the day, canned pumpkin adds a creamy richness to this Ravioli with Pumpkin Alfredo from Taste and Tell. This recipe uses frozen cheese ravioli, so it’s super easy to pull together after a long day of work or class. The recipe says to top it all off with toasted walnuts and pine nuts, but we think toasted pumpkin seeds would be perfect too! Serve this dish with some bread to soak up the extra sauce.

Dessert

Finish your day on a sweet note with Crazy For Crust’s Pumpkin Caramel Sauce. The recipe is a bit tricky, but the buttery, rich sauce is totally worth the effort. It’s great on top of vanilla ice cream, pie, or even on apple slices.

Cookies & Cups’ Two Ingredient Pumpkin Brownies are as easy as they are delicious. All you need is a box of brownie mix and a can of pumpkin and you have the fixings for a perfectly moist, decadent dessert.
