It turns out that Bieber Fever didn’t disappear in 2010. After a three year hiatus, he will be releasing his fourth album.
Justin’s upcoming album prompted his comeback VMA performance, where he broke down in tears at the end stating that he was blown away by the support he received. It is hardly a surprise that this public display of positivity caused him to be a bit emotionally overwhelmed.
He’s had a rough few years. At one of his more high profile public appearances before the VMAs, he was booed.Everyone knows the Biebs had a rough few years. He had his issues with Selena Gomez, the time he infamously peed in a mop bucket, and his brief stint with crime.
Thankfully, he took an extended break from fame and then came back swinging in the new year. It was announced in January that Justin would be getting a Comedy Central roast. This publicity move paid off when Justin apologized for his mistakes.
He started to build positive momentum between the roast announcement and its airing when he released new music with Diplo and Skrillex. The single, “Where Are Ü Now” is the singer’s first number one song on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Justin was also featured on the March cover of Men’s Health. When asked why the singer was chosen, the editor-in-chief simply stated that everyone deserves a second chance.
Justin was poised for a comeback, and the apology at the roast secured the months of work on his image. Of course, a comeback only works if there is a solid base to resurrect, and Justin certainly has a fantastic career to bring back to life. Being discovered by Usher is certainly a solid way to start. From there he catapulted to fame with his signature hairstyle and about a billion teen girls who worshiped him.
He settled into success when his second album, My World 2.0, debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 album list. His third album, Believe, also landed in the number 1 spot.
There’s a great slideshow that depicts 17 different appearances or events that helped to build Justin in the beginning of his career. Of the most importance, besides meeting Usher, is the Baby music video, which set YouTube records and continues to be a force on the video site.
So Justin’s new album is poised for greatness. You can’t keep a teen pop star down for long.
